Zen quip for the New Year

Re: Zen quip for the New Year

What about the period between the inhalation and exhalation ? ....or, exhalation and inhalation ?

The door stops, momentarily, and changes direction of its swing.  At that instant, maybe we do not exist at all.

Not existing when not breathing.  Seems reasonable.

Re: Zen quip for the New Year

"seems reasonable"......nothing is reasonable !

Why are we born only to find out the only certainty we have is that we will die !

I spend my days trying to re-invent a God I don't hate.

Between the breaths is a moment when we may see that all is illusion. A moment of non-clinging and non-grasping, but alas, we are so human.

Happy breathing, happy dying.

Back to face that wall with this desperate will.
