Hello everybody!

Hi everybody! It is great to have this forum!

I am Eugene. I live in San Diego, CA, but I was born in Ukraine.
I’ve been playing Shakuhachi for about 2 years after listening to “Time Stood Still” by Riley Lee. I made my first Shakuhachi from PVC pipe using Abbott’s book as guidance. Then I bought one from Monty, and bought another older flute from Peter Hill.

I am studying mostly Kinko Honkyoku in Jin Nyodo's tradition with Mary Lu Brandwein here in San Diego, and I am also taking lessons from Peter Hill whenever he comes down south. Also I like gaining as much information as I can from other players, and this helps me to better understand what I am doing. Just looking at  the caliber of people here I know I can gain a lot by reading this forum!

I am 37, dentist. I also practice and teach martial arts and some Yoga, and Shakuhachi music became a part of my meditation.

Hope to see everybody here often!
E.
