Thanks Harry. Was just about to send you a link. Am still test driving the site so did not want to tell everyone. Some people are finding the MP3 volume level low so will fix that next week.
In the meantime, enjoy and will let you are know when I update the MP3 file page and add some extras. Phil.

Looks like a good start to the site -- I especially liked your page on 'ma' and am curious to hear some Irish tunes on the shakuhachi. (BTW, can someone post the kanji/Chinese character for 'ma'?)

Glad you liked the site. Will put sound files up of Irish pieces during the week. Ma is 間。Also pronounced 'aida'. Phil.

Makes sense... the Chinese character for 'space'. Thanks.

Congratulations on your new site, Phil. So you did an MA in ethnomusicology... that's a cool field of study. I've attended a couple of the ICTM (International Council for Traditional Music) conferences; always interesting presentations on a wealth of different instruments and music traditions. Great photo amidst the bamboo!
