Hi everyone!
After a few years of wanting to try to learn Shakuhachi I finally discovered that a local music store stocked Yuu's, so I picked one up. My musical background is varied, from trumpet in the high school band to beind a pipe band drummer for over 20 years. I also mess around with guitar, banjo, mandolin, flute, tin whistles, low whistles, bodhran, bones, udu drum and uilleann (Irish) bagpipes. Needless to say I have mastered none of these as there just isn't enough free time! So now I've added another instrument to the list...
I was happy to find this forum and I look forward to using it often!

If you ever go up north in the St-Jerome region (Laurentians) please feel free to contact me and visit our place I would be more than happy to have you for some tea and offer some help in spitting in our Bamboo tubes.
