Looking for MELBOURNE, AUS teacher

Hey all. THis is my first post here, and I would like to say hi and what's up!

Anywho. I'm looking for a shakuhachi teacher in melbourne, australia. I have never played a shakuhachi, infact I've never even seen one except for pictures and such. But I have heard the shakuhachi and I think it's one of the most beautiful sounds ever. I have played guitar for years, but when I heard sounds of zen I was drawn to wanting to learn the shakuhachi.

Namaste,
oy

Re: Looking for MELBOURNE, AUS teacher

Greetings oy,
Welcome to the forum and the world of shakuhachi.
As a suggestion, how about skipping over to Sydney between July 4 and 8th.  You will definitely be able to hook up with a teacher in your area there.  It will also give you a fantastic overview of the shakuhachi as it's practiced in the world today.
All the best with it.
