Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Mr. Shodo Sakai (Iemoto of CHIKUHO-RYU) held his solo shakuhachi honkyoku recital in Tokyo last October as a part of Governmental Art Festival 2008.
Then he received the Grand Prix in the stage performance category of the Festival in December 2008.

Moreover, last week Government decided to give him the Art Award of the Minister of Education and Science, which is one of the most honorable cultural awards in Japan.

It is a great honor for all shakuhachi lovers that Government selected a shakuhachi player above all the various kinds of stage performers.
