The recomended cork grease for my 2 piece Yuu is a non petroleum Grease. I'm having a problem finding anyone locally and for that matter online that can verify that a product is Non Petro base.
I have some "Micro Cork Grease" a Sax player friend gave me but cannot find out the ingredients.
If anyone knows of a brand that fits my needs i would really appreciate any info.
Thank's in advance

Hi Ken,
Try this place; Doctor's Products for woodwinds:
http://www.doctorsprod.com/index.html
He has some very good products, at least 2 different cork greases (natural and synthetic), and if you email him he will answer your questions.
Good luck!

I'm sure if you email Naljor Creations, they can probably tell you where to get the type they recommend. They may even sell you some, who knows ![]()

Another good material for lubricating shakuhachi joints is hair pomade, widely used for ages in the Japanese shakuhachi world. Definitely non-petroleum, and usually water soluble.
I wouldn't recommend it for a corked joint, however.
