Hi Everyone,
Could someone please help me with some notation for Kyorei I've come across?
You can see the notation at: http://pages.infinit.net/jamie/kyorei.pdf
My problem is that I'm not sure how to interpret the 3rd phrase in the 1st column on the right. I understand the tune opens with:
'Tsu', 'Tsu-Re', then the next phrase start with 'U' and then a symbol that I don't know. (the symbol looks somewhat like a '3 |'
I'm really sorry if this is something obvious, but I'm having trouble figuring it out.
Thanks a lot for any help!

That is a kanji. It means to pull, and in the notation means to bend the note down, make it meri. I have this same notation as I learned it from Kurahashi sensei : ) have fun with it.

I believe the character 引 is pronouced 'hiku'.

The way I understand it, you have to bend down half a note. 'Keep the 'U' fingering and meri to the pich of 'Re'.
