Any info about Anzan Hoshin Roshi?

Hi everybody,

Does anybody know anything about Anzan Hoshin Roshi?
http://wwzc.org/?operation=roshi

I bought his CD several years ago, and it has been one of my favorites ever since. I was wondering what is his style and if he is even teaching shakuhachi?

Thanks.
Gene

Re: Any info about Anzan Hoshin Roshi?

I sent him an email about 6 months ago (when I was about to move to the Gatineau/Ottawa area) as I was hoping to pick up some in-person instruction (and I still am).  I asked him if he did lessons, but said no.  So no dice there I'm afraid.  He seemed like a decent enough guy, but I guess he is simply not interested in teaching, which seems a shame, as he could do so within a zen-context and thus promote the ideals of his belief system while simultaneously transmitting honkyoku magical powers.
