Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hi All,

I am co-leading a workshop with artist Naoko Oshima for children K-6 at Flushings Townhall in Queens, NY on May 6, 2006

The workshop will explore the Zen concepts of nature in Japanese art and music. The shakuhachi will entertwine with the painting demonstration of lions, bamboo leaves, waterfalls etc... There will be games designed to give the kids and their parents time to be creative with their brushes. Grandparents and caregivers are most welcomed.

This is not a concert as the workshop will happen in an improvised way. I will play excerts from Sagari Ha, Kumoigishi, Suzuru, Takiochi and original music composed with guest musician,  Richrd Ebihara.
