The difference of a mm

I cleaned my flute a couple of days ago.  When I put the two pieces back together I apparently had them off by about a mm (maybe less).  Since then my playing has been off, nothing worked as well as it should, and I couldn't get comfortable with my flute.  Periodically I would stop playing and look at it to try to figure out what was wrong, stared it down a couple of times.  I finally figured out that the alignment was off, fixed it, ans I am at home again.  Ridiculous!

Oh, right!  I did have a couple husk-free dry hours last night.  Later I am going to try those shakuhachi spurs I purchased from Ebay.
