Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

  I was wondering what - if any - visual representations of sound others find most useful?
For instance which Display option on the Shaku8 Auto tuner; or in Audacity I alternate between using log frequency spectrum and the pitch display as aids to my ears for checking both my own tone and particularly when comparing my playing to a reference track - it helps me compare meri depth\speed etc.
