Where is a cheap place to buy bamboo?

Hello I live in southern California and I was wondering where a cheap place to buy bamboo is.
Whether it be a web site actual place,
And please give a guesstimate on how much it is.
-Thanks

Check out http://www.franksupply.com/bamboo/bambo … luteblanks - they have varying sizes of shakuhachi blanks for around $8.25 each.  It's been years since I purchased any there but they're still listed on the site.  As I remember, they get a few shipments per year, and a few local builders coordinate to be there on or shortly after the day of delivery to snag the gems.

Where in so cal are you?

Yeah the entire last batch I purchased from franks were pretty much unuseable. Very thin walled, badly twisted, or damaged. In the past I could count on at least 8 out of 12 culms being good enough to use. Not anymore.
