Hello everybody,
it's nice to be here. I started playing shakuhachi to put to service the flutes my evil twin brother tried to destroy in frustration and threw away.
I learned a lot here before I had the courage to register.
I took a few basic lessons from Kees Kort (who can play his shakuhachi just about as well as an Über Sensei).
Then I obtained a few books and practiced a lot.
I try to swim 40 laps (Olympic pool size) three times a week so I can better play the long tones and the long flutes. Both exersises, playing shakuhachi and swimming, also help me stay off the Ritalin, Concerta and Dextroamphetamine. Any neurotransmitters used up by muscles and the part of the brain taking care of physical coordination can't be abused by frontal lobes anymore, right?
Happy life,
Roche

When I visited Rochefort in 1984 I ate at a delightful little place that had an aquarium full of fresh water crayfish. They were yummy. Is that joint still there?

Did anyone bother cooking the little crayfish or did you just eat them alive?

Dag Roche,
welkom op het forum (welcome to the forum), do you live nearby Kees' place? or somewhere else in the Netherlands?
