As many of you now know, Ronnie Seldin is in the hospital and his condition remains serious. I am in close touch with his wife Brenda and will keep everyone informed as things progress. At this point it's wait and see.
At Brenda's request, please do not send emails or leave phone messages. Ronnie would like for people to play healing songs for him and to continue to send prayers and good wishes his way.

Just a quick update that Ronnie Seldin's condition remains roughly the same with some slight improvement as of Christmas day. Let's keep wishing him all the best.

While playing this afternoon i wondered how Nyogetsu was doing. I have limited honkyoku under my belt but played Kyorei for him. I hope he is doing well with a flute close at hand!!

Today I visited Ronnie Nyogetsu Seldin in the hospital. He is quite weak but coherent and in a positive spirit. His condition remains serious. Ronnie is getting the best medical care possible and he is improving little by little. There will doubtless be a sizable period of rehabilitation when he recovers. I know that he would like people to play honkyoku for him and to send good thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

I think I've got quite good news for all of you who are worrying about Ronnie!
His wife, Brenda, informed me that Ronnie has been moved to a rehab facility and that he will stay there for a few weeks.
She said that he is determined to succeed and become very healthy.
Let's keep on playing and praying for him so that he will make it to the best possible recovery.

I just spoke to Ronnie at some length and he sounded really good. Has lost a lot of weight and is getting his health together. He has a positive attitude about traveling to Japan and Australia this year for shakuhachi activities. Things are looking up.
