Will be there with Chikuzen for 2 weeks. The week before and the whole week of the festival as well. Which reminds me I have to do some planning for some fire ceremony etc..

I'll be there, along with another Japanese player named Kira Kazuhiko, a student of Ishikawa Toshimitsu. Yoroshiku~

I'm still maybe, with kid's college exam costs and an upcoming shakuhachi purchase to consider. Due to time/work considerations if I make it down under I probably can't do both so I'll have to decide between Sydney and Tazzie...

Finally someone said maybe instead of all happy people happy to be be going. I'm an unhappy definite no. It can't happen unless I hit the lottery and there's no chance of that because I work for the lottery and can't play.

It's all up in the air for me. If I can save enough money and have enough vacation time, I'll be there!

I won't be there physically, but I'll have a handful of Taimu shakuhachi there should anyone care to play them.

I am definitely regretting that I won't be able to attend, or even able to think about going. Right now with school expenses and the little that I am making at my job, I can't even afford to think about eating dinner.
But I will blow some Kyorei in the general direction of Sidney (kind of South East of Atlanta, GA?)

Looks like I won't be able to attend after all. I'll be at a wedding on a beach in Cabo San Lucas. Any players down South want to get together? I'll be there from July 2 - July 7th.
Peace, Perry

I will be chained to my computer from now on till I submit my PhD thesis.
So no trip down under for me! Unfortunately!
Enjoy, everyone!

I had already modified my original plan to go to Sydney on foot wearing full komuso drag; then this evening I found this posted on SFist:

Ah, but the cost of the gas to drive to Seattle is the real deal breaker here. Maybe if I bicycle to Half Moon Bay. . .

Oh yeah, that 'petroleum passion' thing in the "post 9/11 world".
What about a big kayak...? www.freightertravel.co.nz Instead of rowing, blow ro, to Sidney. It would be nice to have the time, wouldn't it?

Really, you'd think those Aussi's would have timed the Festival so you could have hitched a ride with the migrating godwits !
