A teeny video of me playing shakuhachi at the top of Mt. Langley. At that elevation (plus wind, which you can hear a lot of) I was glad I could play anything.

It was a lovely hike and my first fourteener!
Next summer I plan to play at the top of Matterhorn Peak! (In Yosemite, not the Alps).

It sounded pretty good considering that wind you had up there. Go for the heights! One of the shakuhachi teachers for KSK frequently climbs in the Himalayas and plays his shakuhachi up there. I'd like to play on top of Mt. Kinabalu...

Nice! Top of Mt Langley makes you higher up than even this guy!
I still have trouble with my sound (i.e. getting it) when there's even a faint breeze...
whoa...I win higher, but he wins cooler for sure...and answers another of my 'playing anything' questions. Geez!
