Radio programme from WSF08

"The Empty Bell - blowing Zen"

A feature about the shakuhachi will be broadcast this weekend on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Radio National on Sat afternoon at 5pm AEST.  Then it’ll be repeated the following Friday at 3pm

The programme features Aoki Reibo and others who performed or presented workshops at WSF08.

This is a link to the website for the program:  http://www.abc.net.au/rn/intothemusic/s … 358068.htm
I believe that once the programme has been aired, it can be listened to on line by going to the home page of the Into The Music series.

BTW, the plan is to have some DVDs and CDs from the Festival available before the end of the year.

Cheers, Riley Lee

The program is excellent.
The quality of their work is always high. A few years back we did a program from a studio in Manhattan.

For those of you who didn't make the Festival this year, it is something that I would recommend that you listen to - the best representation taht we have until the DVDs come out !! For those of you that did make the Festival, it will hopefully bring back good memories.

If I heard correctly, the Masters Concert will be aired sometime next week, too.

Speaking of which... does anyone have any details on the festival DVD(s)?

It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?

And while you are on that page, click on the thumbnail of the komuso. It will reveal a nice shot of the komuso group on stage at Angel Place, with their guardian angel Elliot hovering in the shadows above.

Hmmm. I think that's the first (and probably last) time anyone has called me a guardian angel... Nice shot of you, too, Rich!
Good job with the show. Looking forward to hearing the full Master's Concert (again).
