Honkyoku Construction/Modes
I would like to learn more about Honkyoku construction (Modes/Tetrachods)
Is there any study about them? (purely music analys)
I took a Asian Modal System class & it was very opened minded. We analysed Maqams / Ragas, music from Bali & Indonesia. Some Chinese & Japanse.

Part II of KOGA Masayuki-sensei's instruction book: Shakuhachi: Japanese Bamboo Flute does some analysis in terms of western music, and some pertaining to honkyoku per se.
Zen is not easy.
It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
