Congratulations to us! What a community! This is great !
When I will argue that the shakuhachi has become an instrument with international success in my PhD thesis, I can now write that there are 1000 shakuhachi aficionados on this forum!
I don't have bombay sapphire (I gave up buying because Tairaku wasn't on the label), but I will sip a very good whisky in the honour of the 1000 of us!
I am off on a meditation retreat tomorrow. So, Happy New Year to everybody and also happy which-ever holidays you are celebrating!

Hey Brian, they put Queen Victoria back in the label instead of you?
Obviously they realized their error.

To heck with that - with 1000 folks it's time to create our own government! Komusonia Rules!

We probably got a sneak preview of what that would be like in Sydney this year. Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. Not enough cute chicks!

Hmmmm. I'd have to agree to some extent - there were plenty of fine ladies there, but they were (mostly) already spoken for. I have to say, though, that at least one younger shakuhachi guy didn't seem to suffering a bit...(you know who you are!).
Perhaps the larger problem, as evidenced by the ongoing chaos of the festival, would be trying to get the potential constituents of Komusonia to agree... on anything.
Ah well, worth a thought...
