Radio stations on the internet ?

Hi,

Just was wondering if people on the forum have a few suggestions of internet radio stations to listen to.
I am interested in anything from experimental, electronic to world music or jazz.
At the same time I quite like the idea of listening to local stations located somewhere in world in general, so  any colourful local station with music and/or talk (in English or German) or any particular programs which are worth tuning in please let me know !

Here in London is Resonance FM from the London Musicians' Collective (online at  http://www.resonancefm.com).  Worth checking out I reckon, although can be a bit mad at times wink

Thanks.

There is also a station on iTunes radio which plays nothing but Ornette Coleman, Cecil Taylor, Albert Ayler, Eric Dolphy, Sun Ra, John Coltrane etc.

Re: Radio stations on the internet ?

Not to forget Onkyodo at 104.4 Resonance FM every Tuesday night from 8 pm to 9. We play what-ever music related to Japan. It started (hence the name) as a program on underground Japanese music. We are 5 presenters and Alan Cummings, Biba Kopf, Kamura are the underground experts while clive Bell and I (both shakuhachi players) are into both underground, classical, pop, folk etc. I seem to be the Japan diaspora music person there.
Our totally out of date webpage is: http://www.onkyodo.co.uk/
Neither Kamura nor myself are on it yet... oh well! One of these things!

Re: Radio stations on the internet ?

I like WGDR a lot, especially Jen Isaacs very eclectic show on alternate Sundays.
Also, if you're not familiar with them, the "roll your own playlist" sites like Pandora and especially last.fm are worth checking out.

You have to be a member to hear it. Let me know if it works smile
