Looking for a recording by Hozan Yamamoto

Hallo Members,

I once listened to Hozan Yamamoto on a recording made by Joachim Ernst Behrend, called "Nada Brama". Yamamoto was playing the Shakuhachi, he was supported by a Gong player.
Astounding musik !

I could find the recording with this music of Yamamoto nowhere.  Maybe someone knows the recording and could tell me the name and where I can buy it or is willing to make a copy for me if it is not available any more?

Thanks for your help.

Couldn't locate a buyable recording anywhere, but here's some more detailed info which may be of use:

Name: Joachim-Ernst Berendt (correct spelling)

Nada Brahma is sanskrit for "the world is sound", which in German is "Die Welt ist Klang". Here is a web-translated reference from a page about
Berendt and his works (there are many similar pages out there, and he's done many other collaborations with Yamamoto):

The world is sound? Nada Brahma Hörwerk mit Beiheft auf 4 CDs. Nada Brahma Hörwerk with booklet on 4 CDs. Network Medien Cooperative 1988 im Vertrieb von Zweitausendeins. Cooperative Media Network in 1988 in sales of Zweitausendeins.

Here is that page:  http://translate.google.com/translate?h … %26hs%3DDE  smile

And here is a Google search result with many more pages. Berendt also produced a book with the same title in about 1988, I think.

       http://www.google.com/search?q=joachim- … =firefox-a

Here is a link to a webarchive which lists that very recording (shows album art), but any links to details on the listed albums are broken:

       http://web.archive.org/web/200201251702 … rendt.com/

Finally, here's a link to a page containing other Yamamoto/Berendt references:

       http://www.plosin.com/milesahead/Tapes.aspx?s=19841100

Looks like this album, or parts of it, may have been broadcast on radio at one time. Berendt is quite prolific in the 'music/sound as consciousness-raising influence' arena.

Hallo edosan,

I have already been afraid, the music I was searching for couldn´t be found on a record... or maybe only in japan. But thank you anyway. Maybe somebody else knows more about it.

Greetings greenroom

Here's a possible source. This guy might have the original recording(s), or could perhaps dub them for you. His name is Jonathan Goldman, and
his website is Jonathan Goldman's Healing Sounds http://www.healingsounds.com/. Here's his biblography page: http://www.healingsounds.com/bibliography.asp

The Berendt reference is listed alphabetically as: "Berendt, Joachim-Ernst, NADA BRAHMAN: THE WORLD IS SOUND, (Destiny, 1987.)
Berendt, Joachim-Ernst, THE THIRD EAR, (Element, 1988.)
"

I'm assuming that 'Destiny' is the recording label releasing Nada Brahman in 1987.

What Goldman is mostly doing here is hawking his 'Healing Workshops', but he may be able to help you.

Here's his contact page: http://www.healingsounds.com/catalog/contactus.asp
