I just wanted to include a couple of photos of a recent concert I did with my Wakanakai cohorts in the newly re-built residential quarters (known as Honmaru Goten) in Kumamoto castle that were destroyed in the battle with the army from the south. Stunningly beautiful place.

Hi Jeff, If I had only known... would have flown back to see my Wakanakai friends in concert in that beautiful setting! Thanks for the photo. Jane

Thanks everybody. Actually there are some video clips of that particular concert that might escape into the virtual realms.
Elliot, those rooms are much bigger than 24 mats. And as you can see, one mat is almost the entire width of the room.
The occasion of the concert was that of a series of traditional concerts and performances that were held there over a period of 6 weeks in the autumn that were part of the yearly Kumamoto Castle Festival.
The pieces we played were: Ho Sho Su, Shika no tone, Shin Kyorei, Akita Sugagakki and Tsuru no sugomori.
Jane, I'll try to keep you up on Wakanakai doings.
Happy New Year All.

Please post the videos! Love to hear the group in that setting.
Any sankyoku performances during the Festival? Seems like an ideal environment for it.
