Re: The points confused me in JinNyodo's notation

A..... means "HIKU (To pull down) , or literally to lower your head - make the note a MERI

B.....Does, in fact mean the same (ONAJI). It means to play the technique the same as you did in the first phrase of the piece.

C....There is no difference between any of the MERIs. They are played the same way.

D....The KANJI (DASU) does mean "out", but it means to "throw out the sound by raising the head". It is the opposite of HIKU, but a difficult technique to explain without showing you in person.

I hope that this was some help.

Ronnie

Re: The points confused me in JinNyodo's notation

A question about C...
Can these vertical lines in C-2 and C-3 be a legacy from old scores preserved by Jin Nyodo? I saw different version of Chi no Meri and U in Taizan Ha notation with vertical and horizontal line...

Thank you,
Eugene

yes , i knew that is a definite  difference in Taizan ha ,  so i thought that Jin Nyodo might get some ideas from taizan ha since he colleceted so many Ryus .
