Looking for a teacher in Beijing this summer / 六月和七月在北京我想一位老师
I'm (probably) doing a Chinese language program in Beijing this summer, and I'd like to continue my shakuhachi lessons while I'm there. I'm a beginner. I am also a beginner at Chinese, so I would prefer to find a teacher who could speak English, but I would be ok with a very patient teacher who speaks only Mandarin. Actually I am not supposed to speak English during the summer program, but I think with my level of Chinese, studying shakuhachi without speaking English with my teacher would be very hard.
今年六月我会去北京学中文。在那的时候我想持续学shakuhachi。下个礼拜我才开始学shakuhachi。我的中文水平也不太高。我想一位老师会说英文，可是一位非常忍耐老师只会说中文也行。其实在北京我不可以说英文，可是我觉得不用英文学shakuhachi太难了。

Xevarion,
Why wait until this summer? Riley Lee is teaching a non-shakuhachi course at Princeton as we speak. Maybe you can get some lessons from him. You'd be hard pressed to find as good a teacher anywhere. His native language is English and Riley is the bomb.

I'm in that course. 
The course is about the history amd cultural context of the shakuhachi, and learning to play the shakuhachi is actually part of the class. I'm just trying to make plans for after the course ends.
Perhaps I should take your suggestion and see if I can have any extra lessons with him, though.

there are so many shakuhachi players in china ~lol~
and most of them are in SuZhou JiangSu province,and we studying honkyoku~
Maybe U can get touch with my teacher Mr Ting.Zhang(who was the 4st in the match of young player during WSF08)
English is not problem~
