It has a very "organic" sound

Re: Hi to all from Canberra

radi0gnome, I don't think you need to worry so much! I am sure you have many fans on the forum - although you might also have a few enemies.... but who hasn't!  lol
I enjoy your posts. You seem to be curious... just ignore the negative wave on the forum for a while and everything will be good again...
I imagine if you are looking from an administrator's point of view - it is not a matter of censorship - but rather how actually to make it clear for newcomers who are speaking from an experienced point of view and who are discussing a particular subject at the level where they themselves have that technical problem for example...
There have been experiments with moderators - which didn't work out perfectly either... just thinking about and discussing it doesn't mean censorship in over us and some have more right than others. I think all opinions matters... smile

I find the thought that you guys want these kind of posts suppressed a little frightening.

Stop being paranoid. roll

I just wanted to let people know in a subtle way that following some of the lame advice that gets spewed here is not conducive to learning.

But that doesn't mean people are not free to share.

Hey Fiona, sorry your thread got hijacked, please forgive us. The male/female ratio here is not good and sometimes this place gets a bit silly. wink

Re: Hi to all from Canberra

Hi Kiku,

I am glad my thread got hijacked and I have been anticipating a welcome message from you, thanks and apologies for not taking your offer, a couple of years ago, in your efforts to raise the profile of women players.

In response to the thread;

I have been really tempted to make of the forum a diary, writing about my struggles with the instrument, but it is a personal experience and I have a diary for that very purpose.  I have suggested that there is a turning point in progress when practicing the shakuhachi; for me I hope it is about changing my attitude when I play and I think I am at a turning point in this regard.  My experience of playing music and wanting to play music is even more problematic than this thread and I won't always be able to hide that.  I glad there is a context for the forum and room for arguement.

Re: Hi to all from Canberra

HI Fiona

Oh yes, I do remember we were in contact. I think I will continue to make women profile again at some stage... so I am glad you are still on the 'way' of shakuhachi.
Really looking forward to hear more from you!

Hi Fiona,

I remember you and the special time ( for me) that we spent together in Sydney at the Festival.
