Music of the Mind

Very interesting:

Especially in light of that 'what is art', 'what is legit', 'what is authentic' go-round here recently.

Zen is not easy.
It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
Bupkes.

Re: Music of the Mind

It is interesting. It presents some intriguing questions such as " Will learning to play an instrument and technic in general become unnecessary transparencies?"  " Can they make it work when I'm sleeping?"

What a great instrument for extracting inspiration, melody, harmony, rhythm directly from the mind of the composer!

Note, though, that the people using this to make music do it through the lenses of extensive training and background in various musical traditions/trends in order to transpose their mind/brain experience into performable music that can produce feedback with an audience and other musicians.

Re: Music of the Mind

I like my current interface much better.  I call mine "shakuhachi".  Sometimes it doesn't work the way I want it to, and I have to learn how to control it better.  I am surprised by it a lot of the time, and about how well it works also.  I think it will really catch on.
