Chikuzen Iwazaki Mid West Tour Oct. 13~22
I will be doing 5 concerts with Mrs. Chieko Iwazaki, a wonderful koto and shamisen player from Kyoto, Japan. We will be joined by her husband, Mr. Kuniyasu Iwazaki on shakuhachi. The concerts will feature a wide variety of music including tradition and modern duets for koto and shakuhachi, shakuhachi duets and solos on all three instruments. I had the opportunity to see the performance at Hope College last night. It was great program and an awesome performance by all the musicians. I had to do six hours of driving (and it was worth it) to see the show so if you're anywhere near one of these venues I recommend checking it out!
