Is there such a thing as too much ro buki? I'm a beginner, about 6 months in, and I do 30-45 minutes every day. I do otsu and kan ro. I know I could be using practice time on other stuff, and I do practice 1-2 hours a day. I kind of feel like I should be focusing on tone production, but I also wonder if I'm overdoing it. I guess I still feel like I haven't learned all there is to know about ro. How much is too much? Presently, it takes up to half of my practice time. Should I be using my time more wisely?

Thanks, Perry. I guess I could have been more clear, that I don't suspect that the amount of time is "too much", but I do wonder if the proportion is a little out of whack, if spending about half my overall practice time on ro buki isn't the most efficient distribution. That being said, I don't tire of listening to one note over and over, I like listening for the little differences, and I do feel like I am continuing to learn from it.
