Honkyoku Intensive Weekend at Dai Bosatsu Zendo
Dai Bosastsu is a beautiful Rinzai-Sect Zen Monastery deep in the Catskills in upstate New York. We have been providing all of their Shakuhachi needs for the past 40 years! There will be separate Honkyoku taught for beginners and more advanced Shakuhachi players. The instructor is Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin. KiSuiAn Shakuhachi Camp
We will have our 16th year of Shakuhachi Camp in a wonderful location that we used for the first time in 2007. It is the Temenos Retreat Center, located at 1564 Telegraph Road (Route 162) in West Chester, PA 19382.
Camp begins at 10:30 am Friday and ends the following Monday at 12:00 noon. In addition to Shakuhachi players of all levels, Koto and Shamisen players are invited as well to what will certainly be an informative and rewarding experience! There will be classes and nightly concerts as well as private lessons. More information is available through the Shakuhachi Camp link.

Annual Japan Tenri Tour
As we have been doing for the past 35 years, we will be going to Japan! Our trip will take us to Nara, Kyoto, Tenri, Tokyo, Hitachi-Shi. The trip includes a 4-Day visit to the beautiful northern island of Hokkaido, with natural wonders like hot springs, and majestic, beautiful scenery.
Hokkaido is where the best Ramen in the world is made! A day will be spent in the old capital city of Nara, where we will visit the Dai Buttsu (Great Buddha), and feed the sacred deer. We will take shakuhachi lessons with Master Kurahashi Yodo II, visit the great shakuhachi maker Sadao Chinone at his farm in Ibaraki prefecture, and go to the grand Kabuki in Tokyo. These adventures and many more!!

The full price of the 17-Day Trip is $3,700, which includes:

    Three meals per day.
    All Lodging.
    All transportation: bus, train, taxi, subway, etc. (except for exclusion (a) below).
    All admissions to temples, gardens, shrines, museums, etc.

Not included:

    R/T Airfare, and the one-week JR Pass (about $275).
    Alcohol (Optional Expense).
    Dry cleaning (Optional Expense).
    Grand Kabuki Tickets (Optional Expense - about $110).
    Shakuhachi lessons (Optional Expense).

To guarantee a spot on the Tour, you should pay 50% of the full price ($1,850), as soon as possible. If you change your mind, a full refund will be sent back until August 23, 2016.
