Hi from Connecticut - student of Yoshikazu Iwamoto

Hi. I'm originally from England but now living in USA. Back in the eighties I studied shakuhachi at Dartington College of Arts with Yoshikazu Iwamoto. Please say hi if you are fellow Dartington/Yoshi alumni.

Was sad to hear that Yoshikazu Iwamoto has withdrawn. He was a huge influence on me. I'm mainly a violinist and I even had violin lessons with him to play the style on my instrument.

I am also composer and occasionally pull out my shakuhachi for recording. I just bought a bamboo shakuhachi after years of only ever playing a maple one. Very excited to get back into some serious playing.
