I just made my first really successful non-root jinashi shakuhachi (a 2.0) and I love playing it. It's just curing from the tung oil treatment.
I'm thinking of getting some kind of hanko or signature. What is the general practises concerning hankos?
Are they always in kanji, or is it common to make them some other way? If they are made in kanji are there a limit to
how many characters are used?
I have a name, more like a word, I would like to use but in nice looking Kanji or similar.
Any ideas on this?

Mejiro makes custom hankos in many styles.
Saori in customer service is a great help...

Thank you. I noticed them. I hope to be able to order one of those. They're a bit expensive so I'll see if there is a cheaper alternative.
But I have to decide on my hanko first.

You can get a cheaper one from places that make branding irons for cattle. I don't know if they have that in Sweden.

That's a great idea!
I don't think we have that here though. Loads of cattle but they don't burn-mark them here.
Maybe there is some maker online. I'll look. Great suggestion. Thx.

Chris,
I've done business with this company a few times. I've been happy with the results.
