Re: Hello from Henry Huang

Greetings Henry,

Great to hear from another international student. How have you been learning shakuhachi? Is there a teacher there in Taiwan?

Regards,

Tairaku

Hi, Tairaku

I have been learning shakuhachi for two years. It's full of so much fun!

Also I am trying to learn how to make an unique and beautiful shaku belonging to myself.  Especially in exploring the magic bore shape, It's a fantastic and challenging thing.

Yes, there are few teachers of shaku in Taiwan , but they almost teach folk songs only. If we want to learn honkyoku, we will invite teachers from other countries. (maybe Japan, USA, etc.)

Cheers!

Henry

p.s.   By the way, is this forum allowed to post any mp3 or photo of shakuhachi?
