I just got my flute back from a chip repair by Perry and I must say it is more than just a repair. It looks like brand new and doesn't look like anything ever happened to it. It maintained everything I loved about it and plays better than ever. If you are hesitant to have a favorite flute repaired, please don't worry, it will be in a great craftman's hands.

Hi Kurt, Thanks for your kind words.

Please remember to play your flute minimally for the next few days to see if you'll have a reaction to the urushi. You may also want to wash your lips after playing. Some people can be extremely allergic and get a rash to some degree when it's not entirely cured (curing time and intensity of rash depends upon the individual). If you do not notice anything happening your lips in a few days, you should be safe.

I happened to belong to the population that can play a freshly lacquered flute with no problems what so ever and I enjoyed playing your Gyokuysui very much when it was here
