PAY RANGE: it depends on the event; in Kochi or Shikoku island it can be quite reasonable.

DESCRIPTION, STYLE, OTHER DETAILS:
I have a shihan in Chikudosha, a branch of Kinko-ryu, and play honkyoku (solo wandering monks' pieces), gaikyoku and shinkyoku music (in ensemble with koto and shamisen).  I have experience accompanying music styles such as flamenco, bossa nova, jazz, Delta blues, and ambient music, have played in ensemble with Kinko-ryu players at venues such as the Shanghai Concert Hall, China, and the National Theatre of Japan, Tokyo, and solo and with local musicians at various events (weddings, variety shows, martial art demonstrations, hotel openings, Indonesian puppetry and dance, house warming parties, art festivals, pub gatherings, ethnomusicology conferences, street fairs...)  in Kochi, Florence, Paris, Sheffield, Bucharest, Yokohama, Leiden, and Hong Kong.
